David Rawnsley

David Rawnsley is a recently retired Management Consultant and an expert in business and organizational development. His most recent focus was on the postal industry where he employed his specific skills in logistics, operations, and corporate governance to assists postal operators in less developed countries. David immigrated to Canada from his native England in 1980 where he had run a small consulting firm providing industrial engineering support to the manufacturing industry.

Shortly after arriving in Canada David was employed by Noranda Inc. to develop its copper and precious metals recycling operation in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He worked there until 1988 when he relocated to, Williamstown, in eastern- Ontario and returned to consulting. After a period with KPMG, as a principal consultant, he opened (with others) LINX P.C., which was subsequently sold to EDS Canada and folded into the A.T. Kearney management consulting division. He retired from there in 1997 as Vice President of the LINX Postal Division.

Shortly after, David established another company, Postal Services International Ltd. (PSI) which supports the development of the postal industry in the less developed countries of the world. PSI has been retained by the World Bank, the Universal Postal Union, and CIDA to deliver consulting support in Africa and South America.

David is extremely active in the eastern-Ontario soccer scene, where he is the Referee-in-Chief of the Char-Lan Minor Soccer Association. In addition he also coaches a team of U-19 Boys. David has recently set up the Friends of SD&G Soccer (FOSS) a not-for-profit corporation that will invest in upgrading facilities and support services for all soccer leagues and associations in the area.

David is happily married with two adult daughters and has chosen to become active politically as a result of Canada’s abysmal response to the Climate Change catastrophe that is impacting the globe.
